When a Missouri Lottery player walked into BullsEye, 25516 Highway 64 in Pittsburg, he had no idea the “Electric Cash” Scratchers ticket he would purchase contained one of the game’s $100,000 top prizes.
“They were out of the $5 game that I usually play, so I thought I’d give that one a try,” the winner explained.
He took the ticket out to his car and scratched it off.
“I was shocked!” he said. “I’ve never won that much in my life.”
His parents, the first people he told about his win, were in disbelief.
“My mom actually entered it in to her calculator three times to make sure it was correct,” he laughed, recalling how his mother added up all the prizes on his ticket.
“Electric Cash” players have won over $8.4 million in prizes since the game began. Over $8.3 million remain in unclaimed prizes, including two additional prizes of $100,000.
Players who purchased tickets in Hickory County in FY24 won more than $1.7 million in total Missouri Lottery prizes. Retailers received more than $180,000 in commissions and bonuses, and education programs in the county received more than $139,000 in appropriated Lottery proceeds.
