A Missouri Lottery player did a triple-check of his ticket before believing he had won a $50,000 top prize on a “$50,000 Cash Quest” Scratchers game. He purchased the winning ticket at Break Time, 600 S. Highway 5, in Tipton.
“After scratching it, we took it back to the store and scanned it on the machine,” the winner shared. “The screen showed we won, but we weren’t really sure. I had the cashier check it and then had the other cashier check it, too!”
“We couldn’t believe it,” his wife exclaimed. “Regular people like us don’t win the Lottery!”
So far, players of the “$50,000 Cash Quest” game have won more than $5.4 million since the $3 game was released. There are over $3.4 million in prizes still unclaimed, including an additional $50,000 prize and 23 $1,000 prizes.
In FY24, players in Moniteau County won more than $2.5 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $243,000 in commissions and bonuses, and more than $91,500 in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
