A Missouri Lottery player who stopped to purchase a cup of coffee and a “$100,000 Super Crossword” Scratchers ticket at Gas Mart, 6901 Hampton Ave. in St. Louis, is now a $100,000 winner.
“Around 4 a.m. every morning, I buy coffee and I buy the lottery tickets,” he shared.
When he began to scratch off the ticket, he revealed a 20X multiplier symbol, and realized he was a top-prize winner.
“I’ve been playing that crossword for years, a long time,” he stated.
“$100,000 Super Crossword” is a $5 Scratchers ticket released on July 12. The game currently offers over $9.5 million in unclaimed prizes, including five more top prizes of $100,000 and one $30,000 prize.
In FY23, players in St. Louis City won more than $57 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $4.7 million in commissions and bonuses, and more than $10.8 million in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the city.
