A Missouri Lottery player discovered she won a $273,000 Show Me Cash jackpot with the help of a friendly retail clerk, who let her know her ticket had matched all five numbers drawn – 7, 13, 26, 29 and 38 – in the May 24 drawing.
“We stopped at a convenience store while out of town, and I had the tickets with me,” the winner explained.
She couldn’t believe it when the clerk looked at her and said, “You Won!!!”
“We were just shocked! It still doesn’t seem real!” the winner shared, while claiming her prize at Lottery Headquarters on May 27.
The winning ticket was purchased at Mr. G’s Liquor, 306 W. Buchanan St. in California, as part of a JackPack. Players who purchase a JackPack receive one Quick Pick ticket for each of the Lottery’s jackpot games – Powerball, Mega Millions, Lotto and Show Me Cash.
Show Me Cash drawings are held daily at 8:59 p.m., with jackpots that start at $50,000 and grow until won. Since last night’s jackpot was won, tonight’s jackpot resets to $50,000.
In FY24, players in Moniteau County won more than $2.5 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $243,000 in commissions and bonuses, and more than $91,000 in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
