A Missouri Lottery player will have an extra special holiday after she uncovered a $100,000 top prize on an “O’Christmas Tree” Scratchers ticket.
The player was in Trex Mart, 613 N. Walnut St. in Cameron, when the ticket caught her eye.
“I like the Christmas tickets,” she said. “We think they are so pretty.”
As she began scratching off the ticket, she stopped in disbelief when she saw the prize amount.
“I called my husband and told him that he needed to come help me finish scratching it,” she said. “I just couldn’t believe it.”
“O’Christmas Tree” is a $5 Scratchers game that offers prizes ranging from $5 to $100,000. Currently, there are over $6.5 million in unclaimed prizes in the game, including two more top prizes of $100,000.
In FY22, players in Clinton County won more than $3.1 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $301,000 in commissions and bonuses, and more than $645,000 in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
