A Missouri Lottery player who won a $511,000 Show Me Cash jackpot prize says he isn’t ready to quit playing just yet.
“I’m ready to win again!” he laughed.
His Show Me Cash ticket, purchased at Crystal City bp, 801 N. Truman Blvd. in Crystal City, was the sole ticket to match all five numbers drawn in the June 21 drawing. When he went back to the store, he learned the bp staff was eager to meet their latest winner.
“I had some tickets in my truck for about three weeks. I went in to check them, and the girls behind the counter started getting excited,” he explained. “They knew they had sold the winning ticket and said, ‘Oh, you might be our winner!’”
When the ticket was scanned, it confirmed it was the $511,000 jackpot-winning ticket.
“They said, ‘You’re the big winner! We’ve been waiting for you!’” he laughed.
He claimed his prize at the Missouri Lottery’s regional office in St. Louis on July 14. The winning number combination was 15, 17, 21, 25 and 32.
Show Me Cash is drawn daily at 8:59 p.m., with jackpots that start at $50,000 and grow until won. Tonight’s jackpot is estimated at $50,000.
In FY22, players in Jefferson County won more than $42.1 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $3.9 million in commissions and bonuses, and more than $14.5 million in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
