A Missouri Lottery player uncovered a $50,000 top prize on a “Bonus Word Crossword” Scratchers ticket purchased at Fastlane, 7701 Roanoke Drive, in Columbia.
“Crossword tickets are my favorite,” the player shared. “I like playing them because it takes a while to play.”
He went on to say the prize was an ‘absolute joy’ to win.
“It was a huge shock,” he added. “It couldn’t have come at a better time. We just had our dryer go out!”
In FY22, players in Boone County have won more than $31 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $2.3 million in commissions and bonuses, and more than $50.1 in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
