A Missouri Lottery player won a $100,000 Scratchers prize after buying a “200X” game at Stop ‘N Shop, 5151 E. Red Bridge Road, in Kansas City.
“I just got lucky, I guess,” the winner said, adding he feels ‘very happy’ about his win.
“$100,000!” he said. “You don’t win that just every day.”
He went on to say he plans to use the money to purchase a house.
“200X” is a $20 Scratchers game that offers prizes ranging from $20 to $2 million. Currently, there are over $27.7 million in unclaimed prizes in the game, including two more prizes of $100,000 and one top prize of $2 million.
In FY22, players in Jackson County won more than $103.1 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $9.3 million in commissions and bonuses, and more than $50.2 million in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
