A $1 million Scratchers prize has been won on a Missouri Lottery ticket purchased in Pineville. The winner said the “100X the Money” ticket he got at Ozark Beverage, 14863 Route E, initially caught his eye because it was shiny. But it was more than a nice looking ticket; it would end up providing a quick path to one of the game’s top prizes.
“When I scratched it, I scratched all the numbers and the first number it came to was 2, and 2 was the winner,” he explained. “My heart almost stopped.”
He later claimed his $1 million prize at the Lottery’s Springfield regional office on Dec. 24, sharing plans to donate $10,000 to charity and then invest the rest of his winnings.
In FY24, players in McDonald County – where the winning ticket was sold – won more than $9 million playing Missouri Lottery games. Retailers in the county earned more than $430,000 in commissions and bonuses for selling Lottery tickets, and education programs at McDonald County R-I received almost $700,000 from Lottery proceeds.
