40 Years of Fun Giveaway

  1. Each person participating in this contest agrees by the act of participation to be bound by these rules and procedures, statutes, administrative rules and procedures of the Missouri Lottery.
  2. Entry into the “40 Years of Fun Giveaway” is only available during specified periods: Jan. 12-16.
  3. Winners will be determined based on a random drawing. The chances of winning are dependent upon the number of entries/comments received for said drawing.
  4. Persons may enter this contest by doing the following:
    a. Visiting the Lottery’s Facebook page for the “40 Years of Fun” contest posts AND
    b. Commenting on one, some, or all of the “40 Years of Fun” contest post(s) during the promotional period.
  5. Players can enter the contest a maximum of 50 times (up to 10 times per day during this 5-day promotion), but an individual is limited to one win during this promotion.
  6. Fifteen (15) winners will be drawn at random and announced on the Lottery’s Facebook page and website on Jan. 20, 2026.
  7. Persons must be at least 18 years old to enter and win. Winners may be required to furnish proof of age.  
  8. In the event that the Lottery is unable to conduct a drawing before 4:30 p.m. on the scheduled draw date, an announcement for a rescheduled drawing date will be made.
  9. Winners will be notified via direct message on Missouri Lottery’s Facebook page, via reply to the winner’s comment on the Facebook contest post, and via the contest rules page on the Missouri Lottery website. 
  10. Winners will be instructed to fill out a Missouri Lottery prize claim form to verify their name, address, and date of birth. Follow-up arrangements may be made by email or phone call to coordinate delivery of prize.
  11. For contests that award Scratchers: The Missouri Lottery cannot mail Scratchers tickets out of state; therefore, if the winner lives out of state, they must arrange to have their prize shipped to a Missouri address, or forfeit the prize.
  12. Once notified, winners will have one week to claim their prize. If a winner does not claim their prize within that period, the next alternate drawn will be awarded the prize. The alternate will have three business days post-notification to claim, as will all other alternates thereafter. 
  13. The winners’ names may be posted online through our social media outlets including Facebook, X, Instagram, our website and any other source deemed necessary by the Missouri Lottery.  
  14. The Missouri Lottery reserves the right to publish social media winners’ names and hometowns for publicity purposes without any claim for broadcasting, internet, print, other right or further compensation.
  15. The Missouri Lottery, at its sole discretion, reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if any prize cannot be awarded as described due to unavailability or for any other reason. Additional restrictions and conditions specific to any particular prize will be disclosed to winners upon prize notification.
  16. The Missouri Lottery, at its sole discretion, reserves the right to end this contest at any time.
  17. The Missouri Lottery makes no implied warranties of any kind with respect to the safety, appearance or performance of any prize offered.
  18. In the event of a dispute arising out of these rules and procedures, a player’s sole remedy is limited to entry into another promotional drawing or event with prizes of similar value.
  19. Per Missouri Lottery Policy 2.4, employees are not eligible to play or participate in any Missouri Lottery promotion. This includes the immediate family of the Lottery employee living in the same household.
  20. This contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Instagram, or X. Participants agree to a complete release of Facebook, Instagram, and X.
