First Missouri $1,000-A-Week-for-Life Prize Claimed

Mar 16, 2022

The first Cash4Life $1,000-a-week-for-life prize won in Missouri was recently claimed at Missouri Lottery headquarters in Jefferson City. The prize was won on a ticket purchased at Schnucks Market, 3029 Highway K in O’Fallon, for the Feb. 18 drawing. The ticket matched all five white-ball numbers drawn on that day.

The winning numbers drawn were 13, 34, 43, 48 and 52.

The winner said he has been playing Cash4Life since last year. The morning after the Feb. 18 drawing, he asked his smart home device to read the winning numbers to him. After checking the numbers on his ticket against the numbers he heard, he doubted whether the numbers given by his device were correct.

"I thought, ‘Maybe she’s wrong,'" the winner recalled.

After looking up the official numbers from the Missouri Lottery, he realized he’d actually won the Cash4Life second prize of $1,000 a week for life – making him the first player in the state to do so since the game began in April 2021.

So far in 2022, more than 159,000 Cash4Life players have won more than $718,000 in Cash4Life prizes, not counting the $1,000 a week-for-life prize. Cash4Life is drawn seven days a week at 8 p.m., with prizes ranging from $2 to $1,000 a day for life.
