Due to strong sales, the Powerball jackpot for tonight’s drawing has been raised from an estimated $522 million to an estimated $540 million. The cash value of the jackpot will be approximately $384.3 million.

“It's fun when our players get to dream and have a little fun with large jackpots, but we also want everyone to play responsibly,” said May Scheve Reardon, executive director of the Missouri Lottery. “It only takes a single ticket to win, whether the jackpot is $20 million or half a billion.”

Players in Missouri have until 8:59 p.m. tonight to buy a Powerball ticket for the $540 million jackpot.
