A Missouri Lottery player has claimed the first top prize on a “$100,000 Fortune” Scratchers ticket. The winning ticket was purchased at Ayerco, 303 Mansion St., in Louisiana.

While claiming his prize at Lottery Headquarters in Jefferson City on Oct. 15, the winner joked he needed a second set of eyes to look at the ticket before believing he’d won.

“I took it home and said, “Come look at this. What does this say?” he chucked, recalling the conversation with his wife.

 After carefully looking the ticket over, she responded, “This looks like a winner!”

“I feel very blessed. I didn’t think this would happen to me,” he added.

To date, “$100,000 Fortune” players have won more than $7 million in prizes. Currently, over $7.1 million in prizes remain unclaimed, including four additional $100,000 top prizes and five $20,000 prizes.

During FY26, players in Pike County won more than $3.2 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $317,000 in commissions and bonuses, and more than $917,000 in Lottery proceeds went to educational programs in the county.
