A stop on the way to work – coupled with a “500X” symbol – resulted in a $50,000 win for a Missouri Lottery Scratchers player in Ellisville. The lucky purchase of a “500X Payout” ticket was made at Tidal Wave, 127 Clarkson Road.

The winner noted complete surprise when he uncovered the “500X” symbol, which automatically multiplied a $100 prize by 500.

“I started scratching the prize and saw the zeros!” he laughed. “I was really in shock!”

So far, “500X Payout” players have won more than $55.6 million in prizes. Currently, there are two $5 million top prizes, three $1 million prizes and 39 additional $50,000 prizes that have yet to be claimed in the $50 game.

During FY26, players in St. Louis County won more than $1.1 billion in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $19.9 million in commissions and bonuses, and more than $33.9 million in Lottery proceeds went to educational programs in the county.
