A Missouri Lottery player knows exactly what he’s doing with his winnings after claiming the first top prize in the “Joker’s Wild” Scratchers game.

“That’s my travel money,” he chuckled.

His ticket, purchased at Schnuck’s Market, 2511 Kehrs Mill Road in Chesterfield, revealed symbols and prizes that totaled $100,000.

“First thing I scratched – I saw a symbol,” he recalled. “I know when I get a symbol, I win.

As luck would have it, the more he scratched, the more he won.

“I had to get a calculator out to add it all up!” he laughed.

To date, players have won more than $4.4 million in prizes playing the $5 “Joker’s Wild” game since it was released at the end of May. Five additional $100,000 prizes remain unclaimed.

In FY25, St. Charles County players won more than $72.5 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $6.1 million in commissions and bonuses, and more than $13.7 million in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
