A Missouri Lottery player recently claimed a $1 million prize after matching all five white-ball numbers in the April 20 Powerball drawing. She purchased the winning ticket at Casey’s, 513 N. Elm St. in Mountain View, with the lucky number combination of 9, 17, 36, 47 and 64. The Powerball number that night was 26. 

The winner said she’s been playing the game for years with her own meaningful set of numbers. 

“I chose my numbers quite a while ago, and I just stick with those same numbers all along,” she told us.

As she’s never won a prize this large, the winner said she’s content with simply enjoying the feeling of winning for now. 

“I’m going to let it sink in for a while,” she explained. “I’m not in a hurry.”

In FY25, players in Howell County won more than $7.7 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $645,000 in commissions and bonuses, and more than $459,000 in Lottery proceeds went to educational programs in the county.
