A Missouri Lottery player was shocked when he discovered the very first Scratchers game he had ever played – a “Gold Rush” ticket purchased at Fast Freddy’s, 17993 Highway 13, in Reeds Spring – held a $50,000 prize.
“I couldn’t believe it,” the winner shared. “I’ve played the Lottery, but this was the first time I had ever played a Scratchers ticket.”

He recalled handing his ticket to a store employee to scan and being stunned when the clerk then told him how much he’d won.

“The clerk said I could scan it on the machine around the corner if I didn’t believe him,” the winner laughed. “And, sure enough, I won!”

During FY25, players in Stone County won more than $3.5 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $342,000 in commissions and bonuses, and more than $1 million in Lottery proceeds went to educational programs in the county.
