A married couple in St. Charles County won $55,558 after uncovering an ‘X’ pattern on a Missouri Lottery “Cash Box Bingo” Scratchers ticket.

The husband explained his wife liked the $3 Scratchers tickets, so he purchased several for her at QuikTrip, 8601 Mexico Road in O’Fallon, while she was at an appointment.

“She scratched the ticket and saw the ‘four corners’ and said, ‘I think we won $3,000!’” he shared. “I go, ‘Wait a minute – you’ve got a diagonal line and another diagonal. That’s an ‘X’!’”

By uncovering the ‘X’ on the ticket, she had uncovered one of the games $55,558 top prizes.

“We’re still in shock,” the husband shared. “But our kids have got it spent already!”

In FY25, St. Charles County players won more than $72.5 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $6.1 million in commissions and bonuses, and more than $13.7 million in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
