A Missouri Lottery player’s decision to mix up her gameplay led to the discovery of a $100,000 prize on a “$1,000,000 Money Blast” Scratchers ticket.

“We use the same gas station all the time, and we were doing the new $20 ones,” she explained of her ticket selection. “We were just switching it up a little bit.”

She learned just how lucky that switch was after uncovering one of the game’s four $100,000 prizes.

“It didn’t really hit us until we went to the gas station and scanned it, and the lady’s eyes about bugged out of her head!” she laughed.

The winning purchase was made at Ayerco, 442 S. Johnson St., in Kahoka.

The winner said she plans to get a new ride with her winnings and put the rest away for later.

So far, “$1,000,000 Money Blast” players have won more than $9.9 million in prizes since the $10 game was released in February. More than $23.8 million in prizes remain unclaimed, including one $1 million top prize and two additional $100,000 prizes.

In FY25, players in Clark County won more than $1.3 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $130,000 in commissions and bonuses, and more than $437,000 in Lottery proceeds went to educational programs in the county.
