A Missouri Lottery player was in shock after discovering she had won $137,000 on a  Show Me Cash ticket she purchased at Zamani Gas Mart, 4300 S. Kingshighway, in St. Louis. Her Quick Pick ticket matched all five winning numbers in the April 2 drawing. The winning numbers that night were 3, 9, 16, 25 and 26.

“I was in the city with a friend and when we stopped, he got some tickets and I decided to get one, too!” she explained.

She recalled she felt a mixture of “joy and disbelief” when she realized she had won.

“I think I checked it at least 14 times,” she chuckled. “And I still didn’t believe it!”

When asked if she had plans for the winnings, she shared she wants to set some aside for her grandson to help pay for his college and a car.

So far this year, 14 players have won Show Me Cash jackpots totaling more than $2.2 million. Drawings are held nightly at 8:59 p.m. and tonight’s jackpot is estimated at $60,000.

During FY25, players in the City of  St. Louis won more than $44 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $4.1 million in commissions and bonuses, and more than $19.6 million in Lottery proceeds went to educational programs in the city.
