A Missouri Lottery player uncovered 10 words on a “Mystery Prize Crossword” Scratchers ticket purchased at Discount Smoke Shop, 340 S. Sprigg St., in Cape Girardeau. The reveal resulted in one of the game’s 100,000 top prizes, which was later claimed at the Lottery’s St. Louis office on April 3.

So far, “Mystery Prize Crossword” players have won more than 8.3 million in prizes since the $5 game was released in December. Over $8.7 million in prizes remain unclaimed, including three additional $100,000 prizes.

During FY25, players in Cape Girardeau County won more than $10.2 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $1 million in commissions and bonuses, and more than $7.7 million in Lottery proceeds went to educational programs in the county.
