‘PaPa’s Getting a New Truck’ with $100,000 Powerball Prize

Mar 04, 2026

A Missouri Lottery player shared he knows exactly what he plans to purchase with the $100,000 Powerball prize he won in the Feb. 25 drawing.

“PaPa’s getting a new truck!” he chuckled. “I plan to give my current vehicle to my granddaughter.”

The Quick Pick ticket he purchased at Walmart Supercenter, 1800 S. Jefferson Ave. in Lebanon, matched four of the five white-ball numbers along with the Powerball number to win a base prize of $50,000. It could have ended there; however,  the Power Play option he added to his purchase meant his prize increased to $100,000 when the Power Play number drawn was 2.

“I usually check the Powerball number first. I know if I match that one, I have won something,” the winner explained. “The Powerball matched, and yep, the next one, and wait, that one, too!”

The winning numbers for the Feb. 25 drawing were 50, 52, 54, 56 and 64 with a Powerball number of 23.

Powerball is a multi-state Draw Game with drawings held on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays at 9:59 p.m. A player in Arkansas won Monday night’s jackpot, resetting the jackpot for tonight’s drawing to $20 million. Because the jackpot was hit, the Powerball Jackpot Reset promotion is currently active through March 9, giving players who purchase three Powerball plays on a single ticket a free $2 Powerball ticket.

In FY25, players in Laclede County won more than $5.8 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $579,000 in commissions and bonuses, and more than $4.2 million in Lottery proceeds went to educational programs in the county.
