While looking at tickets in a vending machine at Schnucks, 8650 Big Bend Blvd. in St. Louis, a “5,000,000 Fortune” Scratchers ticket caught the eye of a Missouri Lottery player. 
“It was just very pretty, and I liked the colors so I thought I’d get it,” the player said.

After purchasing the ticket, she began playing it right away.

“I scratched it off, and I didn’t think I was seeing it right, so I went over to the machine and checked it,” she said.

To her surprise, she realized she had uncovered one of the game’s $50,000 prizes. 

“I was very shocked!” she added.     

The winner is one of six St. Louis County Missouri Lottery players to win a prize of $50,000 or more so far in 2026.

Players who purchased tickets in St. Louis County last fiscal year won more than $195.9 million in total Missouri Lottery prizes. Retailers received more than $18.8 million in commissions and bonuses, and education programs in the county received more than $47.9 million in appropriated Lottery proceeds.
