First $2 Million Top Prize Won in Lottery's '40th Anniversary' Scratchers Game

The first $2 million top prize was claimed in the Missouri Lottery’s “40th Anniversary” Scratchers game. The winning ticket was purchased at Gas Mart, 710 Goodfellow Blvd., in St. Louis.

Celebrating 40 years of the Missouri Lottery, the “40th Anniversary” Scratchers game began on Dec. 29. To date, players have won over $10.2 million in prizes playing the $20 game. Over $40.6 million remain in unclaimed prizes, including four third-tier prizes of $86,000, one second-tier prize of $100,000 and one additional $2 million top prize.

In FY25, St. Louis City players won more than $44 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $4.1 million in commissions and bonuses, and more than $19.6 million in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the city.
