Husband Gives Wife Scratchers Ticket Containing $100,000 Prize

Jan 26, 2026

A Missouri Lottery player who won a $100,000 Scratchers prize on a “Money Money Money” ticket said her husband gave her the ticket to scratch.

“He always lets me pick a ticket to scratch,” she said. “And I got the $100,000 one!”

She said her husband, who purchased the ticket at Town and Country Supermarket, 508 E. 5th St. in Dixon, didn’t believe her at first.

“He was like, ‘Are you sure you’re looking at it right?’ she recalled. “And I had to look again, and it was $100,000!”

Even though her husband didn’t uncover the prize himself, she shared he was still very excited about the win – noting the couple decided to look at vehicles after paying off bills.

Since “Money Money Money” sales began on Nov. 24, players have won over $5.6 million in prizes playing the $5 game. Over $13.4 million remain in unclaimed prizes, including three more top prizes of $100,000.

Players who purchased tickets in Pulaski County last fiscal year won more than $8.9 million in total Missouri Lottery prizes. Retailers received more than $886,000 in commissions and bonuses, and education programs in the county received more than $4 million in appropriated Lottery proceeds.
