A Missouri Lottery player in Laclede County won a $100,000 prize on a “Triple Cash Crossword” Scratchers ticket – a win that will jumpstart his home renovation project.

“We were actually saving up for a roof, so this will pay for that!” the winner said.

The winning ticket was purchased at Hannah’s General Store, 817 W. Jefferson Ave., in Conway.

“I was actually going to stop at another place,” the winner shared. “But I just kept going and stopped there.

It turned out to be a lucky decision, as he picked out the $5 ticket and drove home to scratch it off.

“I looked over it with my wife and it was $100,000!” he said. “We couldn’t believe it!”

Players who purchased tickets in Laclede County last fiscal year won more than $5.8 million in total Missouri Lottery prizes. Retailers received more than $575,000 in commissions and bonuses, and education programs in the county received more than $4.2 million in appropriated Lottery proceeds.
