A Missouri Lottery player in Christian County uncovered a $50,000 prize on a “$1,000 Frenzy” Scratchers ticket after it caught her eye at Walmart, 1102 N. Massey Blvd., in Nixa.

“I had gotten a couple of tickets from Walmart before and won like $500,” she said. “I thought, ‘Well, I’ll see what’s new.’”

The “$1,000 Frenzy” Scratchers game was released Dec. 29 and offers $50,000 second-tier prizes and top prizes of $1 million.

“I scratched a couple of numbers off and on the first one was $500. I was like, ‘Oh, my gosh. I won $500!’ Then I scratched another one and it was $1,000. Then I scratched the third one and it was $5,000!”

After uncovering the entire ticket, her prizes totaled $50,000.

“I was so excited. I told my husband, ‘I think we won a lot of money!’” she laughed.

In FY25, Christian County players won more than $9.5 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $920,000 in commissions and bonuses, and more than $3.7 million in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
