A discussion with the clerk at Ruby’s Food & Fuel, 2176 State Highway 248 in Branson, led a Missouri Lottery player to uncover a $100,000 prize on a “40th Anniversary” Scratchers ticket.

“We like to play the new games when they come out,” shared the winner. “The clerk told  me about the new 40th Anniversary ticket. I didn’t know it had just (come) out a couple of days before we bought it.”

After she got home, she and her husband started scratching the ticket and were completely speechless when the ticket revealed a $100,000 prize.

“We looked at it and kinda backed away!” she laughed. “It’s just unbelievable!”

So far, “40th Anniversary” players have won more than $4.2 million in prizes since the $20 game was released on Dec. 29. Currently, over $46.6 million in prizes remain unclaimed, including both top prizes of $2 million and one additional $100,000 prize.

In FY25, players in Taney County won more than $12 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $990,000 in commissions and bonuses, and more than $3 million in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
