Quick Stop Adds Up to $100,000 Scratchers Prize

Before heading home, an out-of-state resident stopped at QuikTrip, 8011 State Line Road, in Kansas City, and purchased a couple of Missouri Lottery Scratchers tickets. That quick pit stop resulted in a $100,000 Scratchers prize.

“My husband and I were scratching the tickets together,” the winner said. “This was the last one and he said, ‘Here. You scratch this one!’”

When she finished scratching the $5 “King of Spades” ticket, they were in disbelief when they realized she had uncovered a top prize of $100,000.

“We kept checking it to make sure it was real!” she said.

Since the game’s release, “King of Spades” players have won more than $7.1 million in prizes. There are over $11.9 million in unclaimed prizes remaining – including three more $100,000 prizes and five $20,000 prizes.

In FY24, players in Jackson County won more than $109.8 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $9.8 million in commissions and bonuses, and more than $22 million in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county
