A Missouri Lottery player won a $50,000 Powerball prize in the Oct. 7 drawing when his ticket matched four of the five white-ball numbers drawn, plus the Powerball number.

The player purchased the winning ticket at Casey’s General Store, 200 S. Main St., in Gideon. The winning numbers for the Oct. 7 drawing were 47, 54, 57, 60 and 65, with a Powerball of 19.

Tonight’s Powerball jackpot is estimated at $49 million. Since the Powerball jackpot was hit last Wednesday, the “Jackpot Reset” promotion is activated through tonight – giving players who buy three Powerball plays on a single ticket a free $2 Powerball ticket.

In FY23, players in New Madrid County won more than $4.4 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $455,000 in commissions and bonuses, and more than $235,000 in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
