Oct 12, 2023

A Powerball ticket purchased at Wayside, 5150 State Route 109 in Eureka, led to a $50,000 win for a lucky Missouri Lottery player when his hand-picked combination of numbers matched four of the five white-ball numbers drawn, as well as the Powerball number, in the Sept. 16 drawing.

“My numbers were actually numbers that were related to my family,” the winner shared.

The winning numbers that night were 8, 11, 19, 24 and 46, with a Powerball number of 5.

His wife was at a meeting at her job when he told her the news.

“I think she was just shocked,” he shared.

Powerball is a $2 per play multi-state Draw Game with drawings held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays at 9:59 p.m. All current and past winning numbers can be found at MOLottery.com.

In FY23, players in Jefferson County won more than $40.2 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $4 million in commissions and bonuses, and more than $4.7 million in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
