A “500X” Scratchers ticket purchased at Prime Time, 1320 S. Limit Ave. in Sedalia, led to a $50,000 win for a lucky Missouri Lottery player.

“I went to a different store and I won $500,” he said. “This place was on my way home, so I stopped and got this ticket.”

As he began scratching it off, he realized he had another big win on his hands.

“I thought it was going to be $10,000, but once I got everything, I was so excited!” he shared of his $50,000 prize.

He went on to say he already has plans for his winnings. 

“I’m taking a vacation! I’m going to Mexico,” the winner said.

So far, “500X” players have won over $213.9 million in prizes playing the $50 game. Over $43.6 million remain in unclaimed prizes, including two top prizes of $5 million.

In FY23, players in Pettis County won more than $9 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $888,000 in commissions and bonuses, and more than $2.9 million in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
