A Missouri Lottery player was shopping at Dierbergs, 2979 Highway K in O’Fallon, when he decided to buy a “Millionaire Blowout” Scratchers ticket – a purchase that would end with a $50,000 prize.

“I was surprised,” he said. “I kept looking at it because it was in pieces like the $10,000 was on top, but the others were at the bottom.”

Once he added all the prizes together, he was shocked to realize it totaled up to a $50,000 win.

“It was just like, ‘Boom!’ he said. “There it was. All of it.

Since he had played the ticket while still in the store, he took it up to one of the employees to scan.

“Her eyes popped out and she went, ‘Oh my!’” he shared.

He plans to donate some of the money to charity and take a vacation with his family.

The $50 “Millionaire Blowout” ticket offers another 15 prizes of $50,000 that have yet to be claimed, as well has seven $1 million prizes and a top prize of $5 million.

In FY22, players in St. Charles County won more than $64.3 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $6.2 million in commissions and bonuses, and more than $14 million in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
