A Missouri Lottery player is hopeful to win again after discovering a $50,000 top prize on a “Crossword Xtreme” Scratchers ticket.

The winner – who said he only plays Scratchers games every once in a while – just happened to be in the neighborhood when he purchased the winning ticket at Express Stop, 6201 St. John Ave. in Kansas City.

 “I bought another one today,” he laughed. “I was hoping that maybe I can get lucky again.”

“Crossword Xtreme” is a $3 game that currently offers over $14.3 million in unclaimed prizes, including nine more top prizes of $50,000.

In FY22, players in Jackson County won more than $103.1 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $9.3 million in commissions and bonuses, and more than $50.2 million in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
