A stop at Dirt Cheap, 13898 Highway 367 N. in West Alton, turned into an $88,888 Scratchers prize for one lucky Missouri Lottery player.

The prize was uncovered on an “Emerald 8s” Scratchers ticket, the second of five top prizes offered in the game.

So far, “Emerald 8s” players have won over $8.4 million in prizes playing the $5 game. Over $6.1 million remain in unclaimed prizes, including three more top prizes of $88,888.

In FY22, players in St. Charles County won more than $64.3 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $6.2 million in commissions and bonuses, and more than $14 million in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
