When the “SUPER” symbol was uncovered by a Missouri Lottery player on her “Super Cash Bonanza” Scratchers ticket, she immediately became emotional. The winning moment happened at QuikTrip, 801 S.E. 291 Highway, in Lee’s Summit.

“I just walked into the QuikTrip, and I thought, ‘Well, I’m just going to buy a $20 ticket,’” the winner began. “I took it and went over to the side and scratched off the first number, and it said ‘SUPER,’ and I thought, ‘Oh, my goodness. Surely not!’”

Knowing her “SUPER” symbol meant she’d won all 25 prizes on the game, she continued scratching her ticket and then took it over to a store employee for verification.

“I was about ready to cry, and I said, ‘Please tell me if this is true or not,’” the winner shared. “(The clerk) stuck it in the machine and, voila, I’d won $100,000!”

She added the win came at just the right time.

“It’s kind of a cushion for us,” she said. “It just worked out wonderful.”

“Super Cash Bonanza” is a $20 Scratchers game with more than $35.6 million in unclaimed prizes, including two additional $100,000 prizes and two $2 million top prizes.

In FY22, players who bought Missouri Lottery tickets in Jackson County won more than $103.1 million in prizes. Retailers in the county earned more than $9.3 million in commissions and bonuses, and education programs received more than $50.2 million from Missouri Lottery proceeds.
