A Missouri Lottery player uncovered a $50,000 prize on a “500X” Scratchers ticket bought at On The Run, 9401 Manchester Road, in Rock Hill.

“I was going through and scratching the numbers and saw something weird,” he recalled. “I grabbed my glasses and saw that it was a “500X” symbol and read that it multiplied your prize 500 times.”

The prize revealed under the “500X” symbol was $100 – resulting in a $50,000 prize.

“I got my calculator out and calculated it five times,” he laughed. “My head’s still spinning,”

“No one is more shocked than me,” he added.

“500X” is a $50 Scratchers game released on May 30 and currently offers over $230.3 million in unclaimed prizes, including two $5 million prizes, four $1 million second prizes and 45 $50,000 prizes.

Players can enter their eligible “500X” tickets into their My Lottery® Players Club accounts for a chance to win $500 cash in the “Scratch Big, Win Big!” monthly drawings.

In FY22, players in St. Louis County won more than $205.1 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received over $19.5 million in commissions and bonuses, and more than $39 million in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
