A Missouri Lottery player who won a $100,000 top prize on a “Triple Cherry Crossword” Scratchers ticket already has plans for how to spend his winnings.

"I just started up my own company, so this couldn't have come at a better time," he shared. “I didn’t believe it at first. I had a friend of mine double-check it."

The winning ticket was purchased at Walmart, 201 S.E. Salem St., in Oak Grove.

In FY22, players in Jackson County won more than $103.1 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $9.3 million in commissions and bonuses, and more than $50.2 million in Lottery proceeds went to educational programs in the county.
