A Missouri Lottery player uncovered prizes totaling $50,000 on a “500X” Scratchers ticket bought at Signal Food Store, 881 W. Commercial St., in Mansfield.

“I scratched off the ‘Bonus’ play at the top of the ticket and saw a $5,000 prize,” he recalled. “I thought that’s what I’d won, so I scanned the ticket. $50,000 came up!”

He then went back to scratching the entire ticket and realized he’d won three $5,000 ‘Bonus’ spot prizes and also matched all 35 winning numbers – for a prize total of $50,000.

He shared plans to use some of his winnings to take a vacation.

“500X” is the Missouri Lottery’s second $50 Scratchers game and currently offers over $240.3 million in unclaimed prizes, including two $5 million prizes, five $1 million second prizes and 46 $50,000 prizes.

Players can enter their eligible “500X” tickets into their My Lottery® Players Club accounts for a chance to win $500 cash in the “Scratch Big, Win Big!” monthly drawings.

In FY22, players in Wright County won more than $2.9 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received over $285,000 in commissions and bonuses, and more than $316,000 in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
