A Missouri Lottery player won a $50,000 Scratchers prize on a “Millionaire Blowout” ticket he purchased at Jesse’s Last Stop, 503 N. Highway 71, in Savannah.

Once he began to scratch off the ticket, he quickly realized he had a big prize on his hands.

“I scratched off the bonus area at the top of the ticket, and it said $10,000, and I thought ‘Oh, my goodness!’” he said.

As he kept going, the prize amounts kept adding up.

“I scanned it at that point on the Missouri Lottery app, and it said $50,000!” he said.

As for what he plans to do with the prize, he said he plans to put most of it away for retirement.

So far, “Millionaire Blowout” players have won over $224.6 million in prizes playing the $50 game. Over $122.9 million remain in unclaimed prizes, including one top prize of $5 million, seven $1 million prizes and 17 more $50,000 prizes.

In FY22, players in Andrew County have won more than $2.4 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $248,000 in commissions and bonuses, and more than $346,000 in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
