A Missouri Lottery player uncovered a $50,000 prize on a “$1,000,000 Money Multiplier” Scratchers ticket he bought at Casey’s, 3050 S. Limit Ave., in Sedalia.

“I had won $15 on another ticket, so I bought the $10 ticket with that,” the player explained.

Once he began scratching off the ticket, he quickly realized he had a winner.

“I got that first number; I was so excited,” he said. “But the next one was even more, and I couldn’t believe it!”

It was the first time he had ever won a large prize, and he shared plans to use the money to buy a truck.

“It can happen to anyone!” he added.

So far, “$1,000,000 Money Multiplier” players have won over $17.1 million in prizes playing the $10 game. Over $16.8 million remain in unclaimed prizes, including one more top prize of $1 million and another $50,000 prize.

In FY22, players in Pettis County won more than $9.2 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $900,000 in commissions and bonuses, and more than $4.9 million in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
