While in Dungy’s Market, 501 S. Polk St. in Maysville, a Missouri Lottery player purchased a “Millionaire Blowout” ticket and uncovered a $1 million prize.

“I thought while I was there, I would try one out of the vending machine,” the player explained.

After only scratching off half the ticket, he initially thought he had won a $10,000 prize.

“I was pretty excited about that,” he said. “But once I saw the $1 million, I was pretty shocked!”

He went on to say he plans to use the money to buy a new truck and take a vacation.

So far, “Millionaire Blowout” players have won over $209 million in prizes playing the $50 game. Over $138.5 million remain in unclaimed prizes, including one top prize of $5 million, eight more $1 million prizes and 20 $50,000 prizes.

In FY22, players in DeKalb County won more than $1.5 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $150,000 in commissions and bonuses, and more than $174,000 in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
