A Missouri Lottery player surprised his wife by winning a $100,000 top prize on a “Triple Cherry Crossword” Scratchers game.  He purchased the winning ticket at Telegraph Fuels, 4591 Telegraph Road, in St. Louis.

“My wife ended up scratching it,” the winner said. “The look on her face was priceless!”

Once he realized how much he had won, he shared his wife’s excitement.

“I was excited but trying to stay calm,” he said. “But, inside, I was so happy!”

He went on to say they plan to use the money to put a down payment on a house.

 “Triple Cherry Crossword” is a $5 game that launched in October. It currently has over $11.3 million in unclaimed prizes, including five more top prizes of $100,000.

In FY22, players in St. Louis County won more than $205.1 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $19.5 million in commissions and bonuses, and more than $39 million in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
