“I like the big tickets,” the winner of a $50,000 prize on a “Millionaire Blowout” Scratchers ticket shared with Missouri Lottery officials. He had recently become a fan of the $50 game after winning a smaller prize.

He explained he was on his way to work when he purchased the ticket at Eagle Stop, 1704 N. Providence Road in Columbia, and discovered he’d won a $50,000 prize.

“I told my wife and she said, ‘You won $50,000 and you’re still going to work?’” he laughed.

“Millionaire Blowout” is the Missouri Lottery’s first $50 game and currently offers over $182 million in unclaimed prizes, including 27 more $50,000 third prizes, 11 $1 million second prizes and two $5 million top prizes.

In FY22, players in Boone County won more than $31 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received almost $2.4 million in commissions and bonuses, and more than $50.1 million in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
