While in line at Casey’s, 613 W. Main St. in Warsaw, a Missouri Lottery player happened to overhear the customers in front of her talking about the new “$100,000 Money Multiplier” Scratchers ticket.

“When I got to the counter, I thought, ‘Why not?’” the winner shared.

It was several days later, while scratching off the ticket and hanging out with friends, that she uncovered one of six $100,000 top prizes available in the game.

“I couldn’t even speak,” she said. “I was still trying to figure out what it meant, if it was real.”

Eventually, she showed her friend the ticket and he confirmed her win.

“I was just like, ‘No way! Shut up!’” she laughed.

She then called her husband to share the news, but neither her husband nor her daughter believed her.

“They were both like, ‘Whatever!’” she said. “No one could believe it!”

“$100,000 Money Multiplier” is a $5 game that launched in December. It currently has over $13.9 million in unclaimed prizes, including five more top prizes of $100,000.

In FY22, players in Benton County won more than $10.8 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $381,000 in commissions and bonuses, and more than $334,000 in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
