A Missouri Lottery “$100,000 Fortune” Scratchers ticket purchased at FastLane, 413 W. 1st St. in New London, held an early holiday present for a lucky winner. The winner uncovered one of the game’s $100,000 top prizes after taking the ticket home.

“I couldn’t believe what I was looking at,” he recalled.

Once he became sure of the prize, he gladly announced the good news.

“I said, ‘We just won $100,000!’” he said.

This is the third of six top prizes to be claimed in the “$100,000 Fortune” game since it became available Sept. 26. In all, there are more than $11.1 million in unclaimed prizes in the game. Players have claimed more than $8.3 million of the game’s prizes.

Missouri Lottery tickets sold in Ralls County in the last fiscal year accounted for more than $1.4 million in prizes won by players. The retailers in the county received more than $149,000 in commissions and bonuses, and $198,000 in Lottery proceeds went to educational programs in the county.
