Missouri Lottery Player ‘Shocked’ to Win $50,000 Powerball Prize

Dec 12, 2022

A Missouri Lottery player has claimed a $50,000 Powerball prize from the Nov. 23 drawing. The winning ticket, purchased at Circle K, 900 Brookwood Center in Fenton, matched four of the five white-ball numbers, plus the Powerball.

“I honestly didn’t think I was going to win,” she shared.

The winning numbers for the Nov. 23 drawing were 1, 2, 31, 39, 66 and the Powerball number was 25.

The player explained she decided to check the numbers the next day, only to find out she was in fact a winner.

“I was super shocked!” she added. “I’ve never won anything in my whole life.”

The winner shared plans to use the money to buy Christmas gifts for her children.

Tonight’s Powerball jackpot is estimated at $124 million. If the Powerball jackpot is hit, the “Jackpot Reset” promotion will be activated – giving players who buy three Powerball plays on a single ticket a free $2 Powerball ticket.

In FY22, players in St. Louis County won more than $205.1 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $19.5 million in commissions and bonuses, and more than $39 million in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
