A Missouri Lottery player is $100,000 richer after deciding to buy a "Mega Cash Blast" Scratchers ticket while running errands in Wentzville on her day off. The player explained she was at Schnucks Market, 1960 Wentzville Parkway, when she purchased the winning ticket.

The winner recalled scratching the ticket off and watching the prizes get bigger and bigger.

“I scratched the first number, and it matched,” she said. “That was $2,500. I scratched the next number and it matched. It was $5,000.”

When the final prize tally was revealed, she found herself in disbelief.

“My heart was pounding. I couldn’t believe it,” she said, adding she may already have plans for her winnings.

“I was looking at not being able to retire for a long time, but now I’ll probably be able to,” she shared.

"Mega Cash Blast" is a $20 Scratchers game with more than $19.9 million in unclaimed prizes, including one final $2 million top prize and one remaining second prize of $100,000.

In the FY22, players who purchased tickets in St. Charles County won more than $64.3 million in total Missouri Lottery prizes. Retailers in the county received more than $6.2 million in commissions and bonuses, and education programs in the county received more than $14 million in appropriated Lottery proceeds.
