While waiting in line at Lots of Liquor, 4475 Central School Road in St. Peters, a Missouri Lottery player decided to purchase a “Millionaire Blowout” Scratchers ticket.

“It was just random,” the player explained. “I was just next in line.”

 Once he scratched the ticket off, he was shocked to find he had won one of 50 $50,000 prizes offered in the game.

“I almost fainted!” he said, laughing at his reaction. “That’s the largest prize I’ve ever had.”

The player was outside the store sitting in his car when he scratched the ticket off, but quickly went back inside to verify he had won the $50,000 prize.

“I went inside to check,” he said. “Not once, but twice! With both clerks!”

“Millionaire Blowout” is a $50 Scratchers game that offers prizes ranging from $50 to $5 million. Currently, there are over $210.1 million in unclaimed prizes in the game, including two top prizes of $5 million, 14 prizes of $1 million and 30 additional prizes of $50,000.

In FY22, players in St. Charles County won more than $64.3 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $6.2 million in commissions and bonuses, and more than $14 million in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
