A Missouri Lottery player won a $472,000 Show Me Cash jackpot prize in the Sept. 18 drawing. The winner explained he had recently switched over to playing his own numbers after using Quick Pick in the past.

“I picked these randomly from a selection of old winning numbers,” he said of his process for picking his numbers.

The winning numbers that night were 7, 18, 21, 24 and 32.

He went on to say he was incredibly shocked by the win and also “very grateful”.

“It came at just the right time,” he said. “I’m going to set some of it aside for my daughter, and we’re going to purchase a house.”

The winning ticket was purchased at Discount Smokes & Liquor, 5277 N. Main St., in Joplin.

Show Me Cash is drawn daily at 8:59 p.m., with jackpots that start at $50,000 and grow until won.  Tonight’s Show Me Cash jackpot is estimated at $55,000.

In FY22, players in Jasper County won more than $16.4 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $1.6 million in commissions and bonuses, and more than $9.8 million in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
